Few more lights

These are some simple holders that mount to the wall and hold the glass insulators with tea lights.

Something to hang your stuff on...

This is one of my favorite things to make. Sometimes I find wood from old pallets, or barn siding, or our old hardwood dining table that fell apart outside in the rain. It is weathered, and has character.

I like making my own hooks, because I can make them any size and shape I want. These kind of hook wracks are very versatile because you can spread the hooks out to fit what you want to hang on them- coats, hats or pots and pans.

You can purchase my hook wracks and key holders at Wolf Creek Trading in Copley.

Today's work

I am working on a concept to recycle old railroad insulators. The copper bands are old pipes that I split, heated and hammered, then decorated with my own designs.

I am now a Blacksmith!

I have finally taken my passing interest in metal-work and smithing into the realm of reality! I built a real working forge in my back yard with everyday materials. I started with a cast iron chimnela that was my mother-in-laws that she no longer used, and built a base out of recycled bricks. I heat my fire with coal from the basement of an old house in the neighborhood and I use metal that I get from different sources, sometimes recycled, sometimes not. I like using lots of different materials to create useful and fun items. Keep checking back to see my work!

Here is a picture of my forge..
